Marketing / Public Relations volunteer
opportunity:

The William Floyd Alumni Association, Inc. (WFAA) is in need of
a marketing / public relations professional and/or student who
can dedicate a few hours a month to the PR activities of the
WFAA. Duties will include:
•        Contacting local newspapers and media outlets,
establishing a rapport, and increasing press coverage for the
WFAA and its events
•        Writing copy for press releases
•        Taking pictures and/or video at WFAA events
as needed
•        Coordinating with the Public Relations committee and
contributing to the WFAA newsletter

Qualifications:
William Floyd graduate preferred but not required. Ability to
write and edit necessary. Familiarity with desktop publishing
tools a plus. Ability to dedicate 5-10 hours per a month in a
volunteer capacity required.

WFAA has numerous volunteer opportunities available, both on
a continuous basis or as a one-time opportunity.

Continuous volunteer opportunities: WFAA’s committees
meet on a regular basis outside of regular meetings. WFAA has
openings on the following committees for volunteers:
Fundraising committee, Events committee, Public Relations
Committee, and Bylaws Committee

One-time opportunities: Each year, there are various events
at which volunteers are needed to help coordinate and plan
leading up to the event and/or are needed the specific day of
the event. Examples of these events are:
•        Distinguished Alumni Dinner
•        Music Alumni Concert
•        Graduation
•        Homecoming
